Author Gives Back to Those who Give All by Todd Rutherford
Ron Stock’s Moses, God’s Blessed Donkey is a refreshing and pleasing tale narrating the miracles that Jesus performed, from healing to his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to Heaven. Stunning graphics highlight the story of a Moses, floppy-eared donkey and Bullion, a simple stable hand, as the two cross paths with Jesus by God’s design.
According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, sacrifice is defined as the destruction or
surrender of something for the sake of something or someone else. Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to purge the sins of man. However, there are a select few who day-in and day-out put their lives on the line to protect the United States of America. The United States troops stationed overseas give their all without expecting anything in return. Regardless, it is our duty to honor their sacrifice.

In honor of the troops, author Ron Stock is in the process of donating 2,000 books to Give2theTroops.org-which also donates seventy-pound care packages full of loving letters and gifts.
Undoubtedly, a war-ravaged environment can result in isolation and suffering. The American troops leave their families and friends behind to forge a better future for their entire nation. By gifting Moses, God’s Blessed Donkey to the troops, Ron Stock allows our troops to strengthen their faith in a fun and inspiring way. The book will give troops comfort and remind them of
their own soil, of home.
Sacrifices are only for the strong, and Moses, God’s Blessed Donkey is the perfect book to show the troops how much their sacrifices our valued. More than anything else, it is a gesture of
fortitude and a revelation indicating that their efforts are not forgotten in vain.
Ron Stock’s inspiration to write Moses, God’s Blessed Donkey comes from his desire to help others bask in the glory of Christ. He states, “Maybe at Easter or Christmas or on a child’s birthday, this story book of that simple donkey could be given as a gift to help the reader understand the true meaning of Jesus’ life and His sacrifice for all of us. Maybe someone,
somewhere, would spend a special day reading the story of Moses and come away with a deeper appreciation of what Christ did for each of us.”
Is there a better way for the troops to understand the sacrifice they are making than by understanding Jesus’ sacrifice for them?
