The Razorbacks are gearing up for the BCS

The year is coming to an end, but not for the Razorbacks who are spending this month celebrating their season greatest finish in rather a lengthy time of 6-2. To make it even far better, they’re now preparing for their initial appearance inside the All State Sugar Bowl game.

The Razorbacks can’t wait for this game, especially after learning that they are going to meet one of the best teams in the land, the Ohio State Buckeyes. The results of both teams this year was nearly equal and this leads a lot of people to not exactly know who will be the winner at the end of the game.

This game is considered a decisive mark for both teams, especially for the Hogs. Arkansas is appearing in the Sugar Bowl for the first time and they are looking to make an impact. The same goes for the Buckeyes who are hoping to keep their record of six straight wins in the BCS. It is time for football history books to be rewritten and one of these teams takes their place as the best.

Arkansas Razorback’s quarterback Ryan Mallett, is very thrilled to play in this game. He also promises the Hogs fans to do his best in the Sugar Bowl. The same feeling was passed on by Jake Bequette, the Hogs defense player, when he was asked about the upcoming match-up. One note of interest is that, Mallett used to play against the Ohio State Buckeyes when he was a player in Michigan.in his Freshman season, Mallett played against the Buckeyes before he transferred to Arkansas. The critics are waiting to see whether he will be able to lead his team to a win the in the upcoming battle, or will he be distracted with the rivalry issue?

Bobby Patrino, the Razorback coach, is one of the team’s success reasons. He led the team through three seasons and they finally showed up in the BCS. The Fans are expecting a lot from him on this match and waiting to find out how he will handle this battle. Patrino is also waiting for this match to prove the abilities of his team, especially Mallett who had gained the needed experience through the past seasons to play this match against his old team’s rivals.

The Arkansas team has traveled a long way through the season before they were able to make it to the Sugar Bowl. Although they were not able to have a perfect season, they were still able to make their second best one in the SEC, with a 6 – 2 finish. Not only that, the Razorbacks also took on and beat four teams ranked in the top 25.

A quick glance on the buckeyes shows that they will not be a sitting duck for the Razorbacks. They are also a designated team of the BCS with 6 uninterrupted appearances in that Championship. Ohio finished their season with a brilliant 11 – 1 record, they only lost one match for the Wisconsin Team, which happen to be the 4th team in BCS. From his side, Ohio Coach promised his team’s fans of a good game as the team is willing to show how they deserve they repeated appearance in the Sugar Bowl.
