Decisions Decisions
After a hard years work, I was finally looking forward to buying myself a brand new car. I had never owned a brand new car before, so I was really excited.
My company was part funding my new set of wheels so I was guided in the direction of my local VW Kent Volkswagen dealer. I understood that this particular car dealer provided the best offers to the company. The deal was that my employer would pay £5000 and I could decide exactly how much extra I wanted to pay. It sounded easy but I was struggling to make a final decision on which car to buy.
For example, a few years ago, before I hit 30, there is no doubt in my mind which car I would have picked. Of course, the VW Beetle. I always adored the original Beetle and would have chosen a baby blue exterior with a cream leather interior. Fabulous. However, I thought I needed to take myself more seriously. I had recently been promoted to a senior sales executive and thought my car should reflect this.
Have you seen the Volkswagen Eos? This is a sexy car. I think it reflects success, luxury and a sense of style. I love cabriolet cars, they are so glamourous but I was just not sure that my lifestyle suited the car.
I live in the country. I have two children and two chocolate coloured Labradors. I needed space and I needed versatility. So I made a decision and opted for the new VW Tiguan. It is a 4 x 4 car with off road capabilities. I was particularly impressed with the Park Assist setting which guides you into awkward spaces . A woman’s dream. Perfect.
