The SVU team in Law & Order SVU episodes continues to enthrall viewers!
After being nominated for 7 Emmys during its first five seasons, Law & Order SVU has not stopped its witty investigations. Being the creation of Dick Wolf, the series has thrived to be a successful show always. It is still continuing as one of the most popular shows, belonging to the crime genre. Wolf has been the former writer of hit TV shows like ‘Miami Vice’ and ‘Hill Street Blues’. With such incredible writer working behind the show, its episodes are bound to be smash-hit among its fans.
The entire Law & Order SVU series has been filmed at the prime location of New York City. It follows the conventional half-courtroom or half-police drama, which is based on its predecessor. The only difference between the original and its successor is that Law & Order SVU focuses mainly on sexual offenses. When you watch Law & Order SVU, you will come across a group of devoted detectives who work for the influential group known as the ‘Special Victims Unit’.
The SVU is supervised by four regular detectives called Odafin Tutuola, John Munch, Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson. But the group is not alone as the detectives are often helped in consultation by police psychologist Dr. George Huang. This doctor is the only person who is able to delve into the minds of suspected predators. As soon as the detectives collect the necessary evidence in Law & Order SVU episodes, they hand over the case to the Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak.
The Law & Order SVU series is famous for its spine-chilling cases, which make the viewers sit on the edge of their seats. For instance, in the premiere episode of the show, detectives Stabler and Benson indulge in an investigation wherein a person is stabbed to death, with his private parts mutilated. Being a child of a rape victim, Benson has always been sympathetic towards the rape victims. In the episodes, she is seen filled with such vengeance that Stabler is always in the process of preventing her from crossing her limits, while protecting the possible suspects.
In another instance, the murder investigation of a female college student is hindered by the college. The SVU tries to find out the cause behind it and in the process, the most likeable suspect is a member of the school basketball team. In another terrible case, an elderly woman is tied up and raped in her apartment. The cases are complicated, but the SVU team is so capable that when you watch Law & Order SVU online, you will find that even complicated cases are cracked by the team instantaneously. It’s rare to come across such a caliber as depicted by the team. Thus, it’s not surprising that die-hard fans are still addicted to the show.
