Samsung Smooth SCH – U350 is another flip phone from Samsung. It has all the things that you need from a simple flip phone. This phone is for people who are not interested in complicated features in there phone. It looks great, the design is superb and durable, the colour combination is really good, and it has all the extra hardware buttons which makes some of the functions of the phone easier to perform.
The lid of the phone has a small 1 inch external colour display, it shows the signal strength, battery life, time, date, and the current music that is playing and photo caller ID. The external screen makes using this phone very easy; you don’t have to open it to look at the time, date etc. Even if someone is calling you don’t have to open the phone to know who it is, just look at the external display and decide if you want to attend the call or not.
The internal screen is almost twice the size and it is crisp and bright; the images are sharp and the menu is easy to navigate with the toggle and the OK button which is in the middle. You can set any image as the wallpaper to give your Samsung Smooth a personal touch. The phone has a built-in VGA camera which is located on the top lid, it is OK for some simple photos but don’t expect good quality images because the camera is just VGA. You can use the self-timer to take self-portraits and there are settings which you can play around to get a little bit better images from your phone’s camera. This device also has optional IM chat and GPS feature which you can activate for some extra charges. The battery life of this phone is better than I expected, it lasted for over 14 days in standby mode and gave around 5 hours of talk time.
