Alzhelmer’s Disease but must lead to permanent symptoms
Aorta graft surgery but must require surgical replacement
Aplastic anaemia but should have permanent bone marrow failure
Bacterial meningitis which must lead to permanent symptoms
Benign brain tumour which must lead to surgical removal or permanent symptoms
Blindness this has to be permanent and irreversible
Cancer excluding less advanced cases which could include certain skin cancers so please read these exclusions prior to taking the policy out
Cardiomyopathy of specified severity so again please browse the terms in regards to what the provider classes as severity
Coma which ends in permanent symptoms
Heart by-pass grafts this must include surgical thoracotomy
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) must lead to permanent symptoms
Deafness which has to be permanent and irreversible
Dementia this must result in permanent symptoms
Encephalitis which should also result in permanent symptoms
Cardiac arrest this must create a specified amount of the heart being damaged due to the heart attack and is advisable to check what the policy considers to become a heart attack
Heart Valve replacement or repair which in most cases must lead to surgical thoracotomy
