Sciatica Exercises To Relieve Pain From Sciatic Nerve!

Exercises are great when it comes to sciatica, but you have to know exactly what you are doing to not cause more damage. You have to be careful. Here I’ll give you few sciatica exercises to relieve pain from sciatic nerve. I must tell you that exercises don’t work immediately and it will take you few days to see the effect and results. However it’s a natural method and it’s better then surgery, or injections that never actually solve the real problem and only give you a short time solution.

The first exercise is the easiest one it stretches the piriformis muscle – the one that is near the sciatic nerve. When that muscle is tensed and inflamed – it presses the nerve and that is what everyone calls sciatica. To stretch that muscle you need to sit on the chair and put the foot of the leg that hurts on the knee of the second leg. Then slowly bend forward, try to touch your knees with your chest. When you feel the pain of the stretch in the buttock area, stay in the same position for 10 seconds and then repeat it again.

The second exercise is pretty much the same – you just have to do it when you are lying on your back. Bring the knee to your chest and stay in that position for about 10-15 seconds. It’s very important to perform few time a day these exercises to relieve pain from sciatic nerve!

Every time you do these stretches the pain will disappear for a while but then it will come back. It will take you few days or maybe a week to feel much better and return to your regular life. You can also massage the specific area to loosen the tensed muscles around the sciatic nerve. Massage worked great for me. Good luck!
