Golf Arizona
Arizona, located in one of the four corners of the United States, is bordered by New Mexico, California, Utah and Nevada. Thus if you ever have the opportunity to travel to this wonderful state, I would strongly encourage the exploration of the surrounding states to obtain a better sense of what the U.S. has to offer. This is not to say that Arizona is not an amazing place, quite the opposite. At one time, this destination was considered to be a hot-spot for those looking to escape the North’s cold winters, and retired folk. Yet, the past few decades have seen a spike in younger generations visiting this golf and resort mecca. Well known courses such as Troon North, Grayhawk, Eagle Mountain, and Sun Ridge all have been graced with the presence of professional golfers, as the climate of Arizona allows them engage in this recreational activity year round. Not many other places in the world can state that they have year round golfing on some of the best courses in the world, but Arizona certainly can, and does.
I would like to say that tee times are in abundance in Arizona, yet you can imagine that with such a large influx of vacationers that obtain a slot at your desired course could result in some difficulties. This being said, I would strongly recommend that you book early, or locate another course if you are unable to obtain a time that suits your needs. Most courses are in close proximity to well known Arizona resorts and Arizona hotels, yet there are a few that will require you to drive for an hour if you truly want experience a particular course. Nevertheless, most of the Arizona resorts will have binders available with contact information for an abundance of courses which they will be more than happy to share with you. I am also aware of several Arizona hotels that offer pick up and drop offs from your hotel lobby. I would strongly suggest this, as this package is generally a little cheaper, as group rates typically apply.
