Is ProductSourcing.com a Dropshipping Scam or Just a Customer Service Nightmare?

I have placed many orders with ProductSourcing.com and everything was going fine until one day, two of my orders did not ship. These were items that I had ordered previously with no problems, were in stock and that I immediately paid for with a credit card.

Their terms state that they will ship within 5 days, so on day five I contacted them to determine why my products had not shipped. Since ProductSourcing is not an actual shipper and just a DOBA front and middleman for actual suppliers, of course they won’t give out information about the actual company I ordered from so that I can wait on hold for an hour like I did with ProductSourcing.com to get in touch with customer service.

Day of my shipment not shipping, I emailed ProductSourcing.com and received an auto-generated email that someone would get in touch with me within 24 hrs. Great. So what was I supposed to tell my customer? Then, after 24 hours I heard nothing and decided to call. After waiting on hold forever I finally got in touch with someone at ProductSourcing.com who said they would look into the matter, contact the supplier and get back at me with an email.

Of course, 24 hours later, I heard nothing and called customer service again. They informed me that they were still waiting to hear from the supplier? What? 48 hours later and they couldn’t tell me about the status of the shipment? They had my money for over a week and still had not shipped the item? Isn’t that terrible business at best and possibly illegal?

So now today, a full 9 days after my order of an in stock item, it ships. Of course due to their lack of communication and an upset customer, I had already provided the customer with a replacement and get this, was not able to cancel the original shipment for ProductSourcing.com.

What a nightmare.

To top it off, today I am informed that the second item that I ordered will not ship because of a price increase. So because they did not ship and in stock item a week ago, one that I paid the published price for, they are now cancelling my item because of a price increase.

ProductSourcing.com is extremely shady as are some of the companies they deal with. Try telling one of your customers that you have no idea what is going on with their order and that you’ll get back with them in 24 hours.

The bottom line: ProductSourcing.com and DOBA are unreliable and their customer service is awful. STAY AWAY FROM PRODUCTSOURCING.COM.
