Explore Barbados, an inspiring Caribbean island
Barbados is an eastward isle in the Caribbean sea, positioned at the border of the Atlantic Ocean. The island is formed 300 feet thick of coral rock and most of the country is fringed by coral reefs. Truly, this is a sight to see that everybody should get to chance upon, with its all white sand beaches, and some of the cleanest tap water you will ever drink, makes this exotic escape something you will never forget.
In 2005, Barbados was voted to be chief stop in the Caribbean, and to this day, it is still one of the most sought-after. With beaches found all over the island, there is truly something for the whole family. Go out and do some watersport activities, like surfing, or kayaking, even ocean trampolines. Do some exploring and watch where the coral rocks jutt out, as the waves crash along. Visit their astonishingly dazzling coral reefs with some underwater snorkeling and scuba diving. Or go on an underwater expedition in a Barbados submarine, which is one of the most highly recommended atrraction on the island.
For drier sightseeing, you can go on an island tour, on which you will explore the charm that Barbados has to offer, where they share its many secrets and inform you of the history and culture of the island. Discover the story of their past as you visit their historical houses and buildings where you will see the natural beauty of their tropical flowers and landscapes. Or dig deep into the heart of Barbados as you visit Harrison’s Cave, a breathtaking experience and one of the most famous sites on the island. See all that it has to offer as you take a tour and are driven through the cave on a tram, and when you reach the lowest point, they invite you to get out and view the waterfall that plunges deep below, an hair-raising adventure you will always treasure. Another fun Barbados attraction are the Baobab Trees, which they believe to be over 250 years old and is so big that it would take 15 adults with arms outstretched just to cover the circumfrence of the tree trunk, something completely unique.
But the entertainment certainly doesn’t stop there, they have a wide range of dinner shows and exquisite dining that takes the fun straight into the night, like Harbour Lights. It is the most anticipated dinner show, with the performances of stiltmen and skillful acrobatics, they will keep you wanting more, as they dance the night away to the beat of the Tuk Band. You will feast on an appetizing Bar-B-Que dinner, while sipping on some exotic drinks, it’s a party you don’t want to miss. Also while you visit, you should try some island favorites, like their first-class seafood dishes. Flying fish is their signature dish and is usually served with cou cou, which is a mixture of okra and cornmeal. Don’t forget to go shopping for those souvenirs and visit over 1,000 rums shops that they offer, as that is their favorite drink on the island. Barbados has everything for you and your family so enjoy all it has to offer.
