List Building Done the Right Way
Listbuilding has always been said to be the best and easiest way to make money on the internet. I didn’t realize it until I started building a list in my medical assistant site. Its a small site but it makes me over $3500 per month…automatically.
Building an e-mail list of your own for your business is a very important step that all IMers must take. Given below are a few simple tips that can help you with your list building.
The first rule of building a good e-mail list is to give the list subscribers useful information. If an Internet marketer fails to build a good list is not because he or she has not tried hard or taken action it is almost always because what is given to the subscribers is not usually worth someone’s personal information. If a person decides to share her information with you, she expects to get something good in return for it. For example, let’s say that you are publishing a newsletter on the subject of “dog training.” To give good value to your customers, you need to give them original content on a regular basis. If your plan is to simply rehash the same information over and over again, the people on your list will eventually figure it out and un-subscribe. For this reason alone you should focus on working hard and making the best impression possible. Putting together good, relevant and targeted information does not have to be difficult. At the same time, unfortunately, it isn’t simple as pie either. You will have to work hard to find the best information to give to your subscribers. To do this well you will need to stay updated with your niche so that you can continually send out good information to your subscribers. When you create a squeeze page to collect subscriber information and to grow you email list, you have to make sure that this page is converting well. That’s right: you need to consider everything that will make it easier for people to opt in to your service. One good way to do this is to add testimonials on your squeeze page. The main aim of these testimonials is to get your prospects comfortable about subscribing. Do not take this lightly because what matters most is the effectiveness with which your page converts visitors to subscribers. You can even go a little further and add audio testimonials from your current subscribers, which make them more believable and trust worthy. If you pay attention to the other squeeze pages out there you will see that very few of them seem to have put a lot of effort into their works. This leaves you room and the potential to get many more subscribers than your competitors. To truly make the most out of your squeeze page you need to think outside of the box. Think about all of the things that will make your potential subscribers feel more comfortable. Make a list of everything that can increase the conversions on your squeeze page (graphics, stong copy, etc).
This might sound like a strange tip but it makes sense to include a ‘sign up’ link in your newsletter. If your newsletter is plain text then you will need to place the link at the end of the e-mail. You might feel like this isn’t necessary or that it shouldn’t be required but you need to understand that it will have value later when your work gets passed around among friends or when it is reprinted. It’s just a smart way to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way through your subscribers.
In conclusion, the tips talked about in this article are just the tip of the iceberg; as you work you will figure out which of the many other tips you should use to help you build your e-mail list.
