Huge potential in the DC Universe Online
In terms of the arrangement, it is a fantastic concept which in any case I’ve been waiting for since I played my first game. A MMORPG that flirts with famous actors in the genre, and the actor are the heroes and antagonists that we have grown up with, played with, seen as role models, loved and hated.
As a self-proclaimed Superman-fanatics, I have always wanted to take over the mantle belonging to Krypton’s son and tried to bring justice crusade with his banner at the top. All the familiar players from the DC Universe is gathered and it predicts a fantastic quality of the game.
Karaktärseditorn is really well made and allows the player to both choose sides, his mentor and his strength and skills. Just which side you belong and what a mentor is chosen has implications for the choices and events later in the game, making it important not to take their character choices lightly.
DCUO played out according to the WoW model and is a standard work simply. Fights are like WoW but with a bit more interactivity, assignments handed out by an employer, you can teleport to other cities besides the one you start in, clans can be formed, there is the possibility of raids, dungeons and so on.
What DCUO suffering from Unfortunately, the problem is being able to communicate with others, and that the world is fairly barren. The chat is surprisingly bad and it is in a great effort to put together a small group of people to the raids, and even then you do not know if you are in a group at all or if you play for yourself.
At the same time, you feel very alone in the city when no one is where you yourself are, or are passing, which makes it feel stiff and died out in the crowd of villains.
Strolling around in Gotham or Metropolis, however, a privilege. The cities are depicted in an almost perfect way, and all known landmarks as you know from comic books, comics and movies are there.
My harsh tone to even it is not a bad attempt to depict the DC universe of the MMORPG world. It carries a huge potential, which will surely be met later through patches, additions,dcuo cash,and the community grows. The problem that I saw when I played it the most was that it was dead, which robbed the feeling immensely.
But when you think back and realize that, for a hundred bucks a month, can fight for either good or evil in the comic world in which familiar faces turns out, you increase the rating only because of it. The battle for Earth is running – help or go under.
