Orlando Mercedes Benz fans look out for 2012 SLK350

Stars like Madonna have earned immense respect in the entertainment industry for their ability to reinvent themselves and the even more unique ability to make each reinvention better than its forerunner. Since 1982, she has been like a virgin, a material girl, into the groove, vogue and a bad girl, and she’s even gone against the music. And each transition seemed to take place in a ray of light.

But Madonnas are few and far between. And the same goes for quality luxury cars.

With the 2012 SLK350, Orlando Mercedes Benz enthusiasts will see one reinvention that was handled with the expertise and thoroughness that has come to be expected from the Mercedes Benz brand.

The exterior of the car features a muscular design with LED Daytime Running Lights in the front and wraparound LED taillights in the back. This model looks better than ever from the inside as well, with sleek leather upholstery and a retractable hardtop. Three roof options will be available for drivers: all-metal retractable (standard); sun-reflecting, panoramic glass; and the unique Magic Sky Control, which enables drivers to realign the roof’s light-blocking crystals in order to tint the glass panel. This technology can even provide some relief for the car’s air-conditioning system.

In fact, climate control is practically an option with this model. Between the Magic Sky Control, retractable roof, AirScarf system (which heats drivers and passengers at the neck level, acting as an invisible scarf), seat heaters and pivoting or fixed-glass wind blocker, Mercedes Benz makes the drive comfortable at any temperature.

Brandon Mercedes Benz dealers dealers will be eager to get the SLK350 into their showrooms after witnessing other improvements like increased compression and rebound damping as well as sport-tuned suspension calibration. Advancements in torque and transmission capabilities make the SLK350 a desirable reincarnation. The roadster jumps from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5.4 seconds with 302-horsepower and a 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

The vehicle will also have some major drawing points for consumers, including lower fuel consumption than the 2011 model, achieving an estimated 20 miles per gallon in the city and 29 on the highway versus 18 in the city and 26 on the highway for last year’s model.

Additional improvements for Orlando Mercedes Benz drivers to look out for are larger brake rotors and enhanced pedal feel. A new cornering brake control system also carries the car through tight corners more seamlessly.

However, some of the 2011 model’s top features have been preserved, including passive variable-ratio steering, fundamental suspension design and a 95.7-inch wheelbase. The rear stabilizer bar does feature a more direct-motion ratio in the 2012 to reduce body roll.

Interested shoppers can start looking for the 2012 SLK350 at Brandon Mercedes Benz dealers in June and for the SLK250, which will replace the SLK300, in February 2012. The SLK55 AMG will be available later next year.

As far as what comes next for Mercedes Benz, one thing is for sure: like the long-reigning Queen of Pop, it’s only bound to get better with time.
