Unique urban transporter
The Nissan cube is not your average conventional car, it’s chic, classy and timeless, and it was designed to offer a unique solution for 21st century drivers. The Nissan Cube has a lounge-style space for five passengers and has open space with a ‘Jacuzzi Curve’ layout which offers space for relaxing, travelling and socialising.
The unique design was noticed worldwide, as the Nissan Cube in Cardiff was named as one of the 50 cars that changed the world by the London Design Museum, which proved Nissan of being a true design icon in its own right. The Nissan Cube which measures only 3,980mm in length was designed to be the perfect urban transporter, without compromising the compact external footprint, a wheel-at-each-corner maximises interior space.
The Nissan Cube line-up consists of only 2 grades, each version provides a template for drivers to create their own, customised Nissan Cube using a range of accessories and tattoos and the starting price of a simple model is £14,000. The standard Nissan Cube includes a glass roof, rear privacy glass and Bluetooth and cruise control, those willing to spend a little more can upgrade to Kaizen trim which comes with the Nissan Connect audio and navigation system, a rear parking camera and full climate control to the lengthy standard equipment list.
There are two engines to choose from, the 1.6-litre 108bhp petrol engine which gives emissions as low as 151g/km and combined fuel economy as high as 42.8mpg, and a frugal 1.5-litre diesel engine which joined the range in May 2010.
