Women’s organization out of the blocks early for principled candidate
Online PR News – 25-February-2011 –Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of Steve Daines for United States Senate for Montana. Steve Daines is running as a conservative Republican for the 2012 election.
Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Founder and Chairman Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
Steve Daines is a pro-life, pro-family conservative fighting to cut government control. As vice president of RightNow Technologies, Steve has put what works for the Montana community and its jobs into practice. Steve and Cindy Daines have been married for twenty-four years, have four children, and attend Springhill Presbyterian Church in Bozeman.
Freshman Senator Jon Tester ran in 2006 as a “conservative” Democrat, yet his record on family and fiscal issues has been anything but. Jon Testers has a 17 percent voting record with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee. Jon voted for President Obama’s so-called stimulus package and the government take over of healthcare. He is pro-abortion, and supports embryonic stem-cell research. His ratings with other conservative groups are abysmal. National Tax Payer Union gave Sen. Tester an “F” rating. National Right to Life gave Jon Tester a “0” score and he scored a 17 percent rating with the American Conservative Union.
“Concerned Women PAC endorsed Steve Daines because he is a proven conservative”, said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women PAC.
“Montana made it clear in this last election, that they want a new direction and a Senator who will listen to them and not President Obama or Senator Harry Reid. Steve Daines is a true conservative whose voting record unlike Sen. Tester’s will be consistent with his campaign rhetoric.”
