DVD-Video is a consumer video format used to store digital video on DVD discs, and is currently the dominant consumer video format in Asia, North America. Europe, and Australia. 352 × 576 pixels (same as the China Video Disc standard)
At 29.97, interlaced (commonly used in regions with 60 Hz image scanning frequency – NTSC):
720 × 480 pixels (same resolution as D-1)
704 × 480 pixels
352 × 480 pixels (same as the China Video Disc standard)
An MPEG-2 encoder can add flags in video stream to indicate scanning type, field order and field repeating.

Q1: How do I join VOB files?
I have two VOB files that play in VLC. They are each at least 1 GB. I am able to burn it in my Toast so I have it on DVD. But how do I join these two into one file? So they play seamlessly, to a certain degree? If I don’t join them they will be shown as two separate movies on the DVD menu. I would like to be able to watch it without interruption. I have a Mac.
