Additional Begginer Airlines
Several months back, in an affiliated editorial, I made mention of two beginner air carriers for the US market. Since then, both EOS Airlines and Maxjet Airways have taken flight and are triumphantly assisting their passengers and making plans for future expansion. Beyond both carriers, extra carriers are waiting to take their first flights. Let’s check out a few leading contenders.
Flee First Class
This Florida positioned air carrier is aranging to make the most of Wilmington, NC as its base. With flights to Bermuda and London arranged, the airline will offer only one level of help, first class. Awaited first flight is around the second quarter of 2006.
Primaris Airlines
Now FAA acknowledged and the owner of a single Boeing 757 aircraft which they presently are leasing to a different carrier, Primaris placed an order in January 2005 for Boeing’s brand new Dreamliner aircraft, also called the 787. Before the first of these particular aircraft arrive in 2008, Primaris reportedly will be leasing three other 757 aircraft and start booked service around New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco by the middle of 2006.
Virgin America
Impending government confirmation, Virgin America will fly upwards of 105 Airbus aircraft. Located in San Francisco, the Richard Branson encouraged airline must beat some problems first containing persuading the US government that the airline is, certainly, mostly US owned.
