Korean Airlines and Their Ascent and Achievements
Throughout history, several airlines have built their company up into a respected carrier for passengers, one of which is Korean Air Lines. Found in Seoul Korea, it is South Korea’s primary airline. Providing service to almost 50 different countries, they service international and domestic flights. This airline provides both cargo hauling to international destinations as well as passenger flights. They have continued to expand their cargo hubs into various areas within the Asia. This company is also involved in research and development in various areas within the aviation industry. Research in the aerospace industry is a primary focus of Korean Air.
Korean Air, or KAL for Korean Air Lines, has over forty years of hard won experience that places them where they are today. There have been a high number of airlines which have had to put up with harsh conditions in many shapes and forms. KAL is not excluded, and they didn’t meet the grade on two separate occasions in their very early days, between the 1940s’s and 1960’s. There are multiple decades of know-how and wisdom among the aviation executive makeup of Korean Air. That plus a number of smart moves toward the studies of aerospace and cargo moves this company toward the forefront of aviation industry associations. Achieving a four out of five star rating from SkyTrax, Korean Air is one of the highest rated airlines in the industry. Another airline, Asiana Airlines, is their primary competitor in South Korea. The second-largest carrier in South Korea, Asiana, is the top competitor with Korean Air. This is good, however, because competition is good for any business and the consumers. However, when traveling throughout Asia, Korean Air offers the widest range of choices available.
Also involved with research and manufacturing, Korean Air is entangled with the aerospace industry. A strong point for this company, they will continue to expand in this area. Their research division, Korean Air Aerospace Division, makes a variety of aircraft that are licensed. Two of their more well-known aircraft are UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and the MD-500. They also have several other manufacturing projects for other types of military aircraft that are licensed. Providing various transport needs for the military, Korean Air has branched out into other areas.
The decade beginning with the 2000s saw very many awards and activities with Korean Air. They have continued to enjoy winning more awards for their frequent flyer programs. Certainly the many flight classes they offer have also only gotten better as the years progressed. In their earlier years, this company had to triumph over some inconveniences, so it is not surprising how tough it was to meet these goals. In spite of this, they repeatedly advanced their aviation management team which they believe is one area that they were vulnerable with at the beginning. Their complete management team, plus all their other employees are acclaimed for the unending achievements that they accomplish.
