Pyramid of Khufu is the best among Seven Wonders of the World
Pyramid of Khufu or also known as The Great Pyramid of Giza. You can call these monuments as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is the largest and oldest pyramid among the three which is situated in Egypt. According to the Egyptologist, they believed that this pyramid was built in tomb for the four dynasty Egyptians. For completion of this construction it took around fourteen to twenty years which was built in 2560 BC. It is a stunning monument and a landmark for Egypt where millions of people come to see this spectacular site. Believe it or not, the fact of this pyramid is that it is a structure which is made by man and it measures at a height of around 480.6 feet. It is the tallest structure made by man, so it is recognized as one of the even wonders of the world. The Pyramid of Khufu is the oldest monument in the world which was built around three thousand and eight hundred years back.
Initially, this pyramid was enclosed by stones on the outer side that formed smooth surface. Even today if you visit this you can see the original structure which is not destroyed. For constructing this one of the Seven Wonders of the World it took millions of stone which were known as limestone material. Many Egyptians people were used as workers for constructing this site. They were forced to lift, move and drag this huge stone in their places were it should be. In this pyramid, there are three well known chambers. The lowest chamber is engraved into solid rock layer upon which this pyramid was built. For the kings and queens the two chambers were placed at the top of the pyramid.
When you see this pyramid one can notice that the passages are made in ascending and descending order which is found only in The Great Pyramid of Giza. The most important part of the Giza is the two mortuary temples which was build in honor of Khufu. Among the two temples, one is located close to pyramid while the other one near the Nile. In this site, there are three smaller pyramids which were made in honor of the Khufu’s wives. These small pyramids were known as “Satellite”. Apart from the two temples, there is a small tomb which is surrounds the pyramid is known as mastaba. For constructing this baeutfil site which is among the Seven Wonders of the World, they used casing stone which are slant faced, flat at the top and refined white limestone. This casing stones were so heavy that it was not easy to lift by one person; it measured around one hundred and ninety three centimeters.
