Toys are too expensive
When my daughter turned 3 years old last week, I couldn’t think of any gift ideas, so I decided not to give her anything on her birthday. So I told her that over the weekend, I will take her to the Toys ’r’ Us, where she can choose anything she wants. She was so excited that her week dragged and everyday she would ask me if it was Saturday yet.
Finally it was Saturday, we left straight after breakfast, as she couldn’t wait any longer. She ran in the shop, headed towards the large toy section and at that point I thought to myself there goes all my money!
After going round and round the same aisle, she finally picked one of the big <a href=”http://www.rockinghorses.uk.net/”>rocking horses</a>, and I didn’t mind until I saw the price tag. The rocking horse was £299, I almost fainted, as it was a ridiculous price for just a wooden toy. I asked her if that’s the toy she wants and to my disappointment, she said it’s what she always dreamed of having.
As we were walking to the counter, I felt my heart skip many beats but it was something she wants and I did say she can choose whatever she likes. When the cashier swiped the tag, I stood there in shock, as the price came up as £150! When the cashier saw my confused face, she knew what I was thinking and told me that all large outdoor toys are half price for just this weekend.
