I do like to be beside the seaside!
Every year my family and I enjoy an Easter break to the seaside town of Abersoch. I love Abersoch. The beach is fantastic, comparable to the best beaches in Europe and the village itself has plenty charm and character. I live in the Ribble Valley and it is approximately a two hour drive in the Used Chevrolet Llangefni car. Its ideal for a last minute getaway.
Sometimes we camp on one of the nearby sites or we stay in a hotel called the Venetia. I prefer to stay in the hotel as I like luxury but the kids like the adventure of camping. The Venetia is a modern boutique type hotel and each room has been individually designed. There is also a fantastic restaurant which offers fresh fish caught locally.
There are plenty activities to keep even the most restless person entertained in Abersoch. Horse riding, fishing, golfing, surfing and wakeboarding. Indeed the town holds a festival called Wakestock in July which is a music festival accompanied with wakeboarding. The town gets very busy on this occasion and you need to book well in advance.
If you like a little shopping Abersoch can offer you a great choice. From traditional seaside shops to boutiques selling Armani, Prada and Gucci, Abersoch has it all. In the evening we tend to try one of the many restaurants or if it is a very warm evening we take a Barbecue down to the beach and relax. The beach is always busy in the evening and there is generally a very good atmosphere. I love Abersoch.
