How To Delete The Data From Your Mobile Before You Sell Your Mobile

Mobile phone recycling is defined as: the ability to sell your mobile and earn cash for phones. Yea, its pretty self explanatory and a very easy process. However, there is one thing that a lot of people worry about when they sell mobile and that is the data on their phone. A lot of us use our mobile phones as not only an entertainment hub, but as a personal hub or a business hub as well. We have text messages and passwords saved and reports of things we have downloaded such as photos, videos, games, and apps. So, what are you supposed to do with all of this data once you decide to sell your phone? Well, there are really two ways of going about this.

The best way to get rid of all the data on your mobile before doing mobile phone recycling is to simply turn it back to factory defaults. You can do this one of two ways depending on the phone you have. When you bought your mobile you probably had either a MicroSD card or a sim card in the phone. I have an Android so I have a MicroSD card. You can simply take these out of the phone and ultimately the data that is saved on these two “cards” will be taken out from the phone.

You can also, if your mobile has this, literally reset to defaults by the factory. This means that in the same condition you get the phone (bare bones) you will reset it and no matter what add ons you put on the phone it will all be deleted. In order to do this on Android – its super easy. Probably easier than any other phone. Just go to settings, privacy settings and simply click the Factory Data Reset button – which as you can see will “erase all data on phone”.

I have had to do this quite a few times on Android phones because they kept breaking on me and I had to keep sending them back. Cash for phones is a really cool way to make money from phone recycling or iPhone recycling, just make sure you are responsible in deleting all of your information before you sell your mobile. The first time I sold my mobile I didn’t really have a clue as to how to delete my data, so hopefully this has helped you out a little bit as far as data and recycle mobile goes.

If nothing else and you cannot find the reset data option or you can’t find the Micro SD card or the SIM card you can simply look in your manual and find out exactly where its at. The second option available to you is to find a trusted site that has a “data wipe” program. You would simply go to the Marketplace and download this app to delete all of the information on the phone. Please make sure you use a trusted site though!
