The advancements in media, information technology and globalization have not impacted the public sector as much as it should have. With its hypercompetitive global commerce and financial interdependence, this sector is an important part of the overall global community.

The glorious economic changes that has taken place coupled with the financial downswing that existed for a while, suggests that the global economy is entwined with the public sector.   • Majority of IT giants belonging to public sector are concentrating on establishing IT infrastructure and other peripherals. Focus is on technical implementation that is carried on by the enterprises’     own IT team or by outsourced IT consultants. To explain the same, let us take an example of a county public body known locally, where     you can have various systems for specialized causes.
  • A maximum part of public IT budget is dedicated for maintaining existing IT systems as well to procure more, to support future     projects.
