You have probably heard of the term “blogging” a lot in recent years, but you might have a totally wrong idea about it. For many people, blogging is for teenagers or people who want to have some kind of online journal of their thoughts. While some blogs did begin this way, there is a lot more to blogging now than meets the eye.
Basically, setting up a blog is easy. You can do it one of two ways. You can either use a free blogging system like Blogger or WordPress.com or you can get your own hosting and use WordPress.org to build a blog on it. The second option gives you much more control over what you do with your blog as you own it when it has been placed on your own hosting server.
Once you are ready to set up a blog, you need to decide on a topic. You can create a blog around just about any topic as you will always find people who are interested in what you have to say. For instance, if you are a homeschooling mom who wants to share tips, tricks and ideas with other homeschooling moms or people who are interested in homeschooling, you could set up a blog. Now, how do you make money from blogging?
There are a number of ways to make money through blogging. One easy way would be to put Google Adsense ads on your blog. Anytime someone clicks on the ads, you get paid. It could be 10 cents or 10 dollars depending on the value of the ad they click. This is a great residual income stream. You can also sign up as an affiliate for different product offers and advertise those on your blog. No matter which way you go, blogging is a nice passive income to have!
