Day Trip Activities In Europe For Your Holiday Destinations!
I am a huge lover of all things beautiful. I love photography, history (visually), art, and many other things. This is the reason I decided to start looking into day trip activities for my low cost holidays in Europe. Europe is filled to the brim with history, art museums, history centers, world wonders and much more. A day trip is what it sounds like. It’s a trip you can take on your cheap holidays for a day. It doesn’t last more than that. Usually from early in the morning, all day, until late afternoon, evening or night. These day trip for holidays 2011 are superb for anyone; families, singles, people that are married, people that are dating, friends, groups of people, people with children, etc. Here are a few of my favorite places around Europe!
– Royal Castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Day Tour from Munich: Hidden in the seclusion of the Bavarian mountains, King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles, Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. This trip from Munich shows you both of these extraordinary castles, the legacy of Bavaria’s fairytale King. Capture the grandeur of these castles and the picturesque mountain scenery of Bavaria in one magical day.
– Capri Day Trip from Rome: Arriving in Naples, you will board a jet boat for the 45-minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. Here you will have the option (fees payable direct) of boarding a motorboat to reach the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), where sunlight passes into an underwater cavity and shines through the seawater, creating a magical blue reflection that illuminates the cavern. The boat trip is subject to weather and sea conditions.
– Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Small Group Day Trip from Rome: Amalfi is a labyrinth of narrow lanes and alleyways and features typical Mediterranean village architecture. Here you can sample the local Limoncello liqueur or visit the celebrated Moorish-style Paradise Cloister, dating back to the 13th century. You’ll also enjoy lunch at Amalfi (additional expense), then follow the road uphill away from the coast for a last glimpse of this enchanting part of Italy before continuing on to Pompeii.
– Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris: Experience the grandeur of Versailles Palace and Gardens on a small group tour from Paris. With a maximum of only eight per group, this small group trip to Versailles ensures a more intimate experience. Hotel pickup from centrally located Paris hotels is included, taking all the guess work out of your trip. You can choose from a half-day tour (independent tour), either in the morning or afternoon, or a full-day tour (guided tour).
These holiday destinations might sound like they are a lot of money. Some of them might cost a bit more than expected, but you can also lessen the blow if you find travel agent sites that can offer coupons and discounts on these holiday destinations AND they might also be able to give you ideas and discounts on other holiday extras such as accommodations, lodging, food, and even transportation. Also, a travel agent is going to know all about that specific area – places to see, locations to stay away from, best restaurants, best places to stay, etc.
