Shopping Genie, Authentic Or Not?
My Shopping Genie is quite a new opportunity and has been getting quite a lot of publicity. It allows you to search for the best deals on line when you want to buy something, the software you can download for free. Some are saying that the business opportunity attached to it is a scam..
The Shopping Genie, which is run by MyNet Universe, has been welcomed by some of the big retailers on the internet which is comforting news. EBay, Clickbank, Amazon are 3 that spring to mind. Being a free download, its open to everyone, it shows up in your web browser when you switch it on and will look at many different suppliers to find the best price for the product you are looking for.
Prime Time, a TV investigation programme recently looked into the Genie and sent an undercover agent to the launch meeting in Ireland. As far as they are concerned the My Shopping Genie biz op is a scam, they are stating that its just a pyramid scheme with no products and people only getting paid for introducing others.
So what is the product? Well it will cost you 199 dollars to join up (plus $30 per month) you will then have a license to give the Genie software away to others and to earn from new people that you bring into the scheme. Don’t forget the monthly cost of $30 for your website and back office! The Genie founder Bruce Bise is 100% confident that the opportunity is legitimate and he loses no sleep at night.
For every two new people you sign up into this business you will earn one hundred dollars. Of course one of the perks of this binary compensation plan is that you are being paid for bringing in others into the system, which will of course prompt some to start making ‘scam’ allegations.
As a license holder you are able to earn an income from the use of the Genie software itself. Those people who have downloaded My Shopping Genie through your link will most likely start using the software when shopping online. Well you are going to earn from clicks, view and sales made. This is some seriously easy money, and it can grow very big!
Complaints seem to be part and parcel of the home based business industry, is there any company out there which hasn’t been slated by someone at some point? With such a wide variety of people getting involved it’s only natural, there are those who just don’t like to see others succeed, perhaps because they have tried and failed themselves. Or in some cases there could be genuine reasons for getting the hump with a company or opportunity. You are always better off looking into the facts for yourself rather than taking someone else’s word for it.
When checking out a company I always like to start at the Better Business Bureau. I checked out the Genie’s parent company MyNet Universe and they’ve been awarded a B+ rating (which is a high score). In the last thirty six months their records show no complaints whatsoever. They did get a wrist slapping by The BBB as they used the word ‘free’ in one of their adverts once.
It really is down to the individual and their views to decide if the Genie is a scam or not. If someone generally doesn’t like the MLM business model then the Genie is not for them..
Whether or not the Genie is out to scam you will hinge on your own individual feelings about MLM in general. The Genie is not top of the stack for me personally, but then again I prefer network marketing companies with tangible products. Network marketing has unfortunately been tarnished over the years as the result of extravagant marketing. People making promises of quick fast money within days (which for most people this will never happen) doesn’t really help the industry.
The Genie certainly does seem to be a solid business opportunity with great rewards, I particularly like the earning potential from other people using the Genie as a shopping tool, some serious residual income could be built easily.
There is no doubt some people are raking it in right now with the Genie, the top earners will be those who understand how to generate large amounts of leads for their business.
