Freelance it!
I have just been introduced to the wonder world of freelancers. Obviously I am aware that people have been working freelance for many years but I didn’t know how easy it was to source particular people and skill sets via the internet.
Last week I was speaking to a friend in the local pub. He asked me how my online business was going and I said that it was generally fine but I needed someone to give me some help integrating a Shopping Cart Software shopping cart into my current site. I had approached a few agencies and they all tried to convince me that I should make a large number of changes to the site and thus charge me a fortune for doing so.
My friend asked me if I had advertised it on the internet. I wasn’t sure what he meant but he gave me the address of a freelancer site. I decided to go home and investigate what it was all about.
It was ideal. I registered my details and then I set about advertising my job. The advert was free and any fees taken were from the freelancer on completion of the job. Minutes after the advert went live, I was receiving offer after offer of people who wanted to complete my job. The prices were very competitive and in the end I chose somebody who had quoted somewhere in the middle.
The job was done perfectly and I was very happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and shall be using the service again.
