Argo Cat has arrived!
A few weeks ago my husband announced that he wanted to treat himself to an Argo Cat. I had never ever heard on one and to keep it simple it is basically an amphibious Northern Ireland Used Renault car! He had seen them on a program he had been watching and though the idea was amazing. You can drive over every terrain and it also goes through water. I suppose it is quite amazing.
However, when he enquired about prices he soon realised that his idea was nothing more than a dream. We couldn’t afford to spend nearly £20,000 on a recreational vehicle. It was far too expensive. He was a little down but determined not to give up on his dream just yet.
He scoured the internet for ages and eventually found one for sale for £400! It is from 1981 and nothing really works in it. He went to collect it yesterday and in my opinion it looks like junk. The bottom has holes in it and it seems to slope to one side.
My husband however sees it as an opportunity to create something special. He says we can go on long days out and fishing. Maybe but I want to make sure it does not sink first. A lot of spare parts can be bough from the manufacturer and I can imagine that by the time it is complete, we could have paid for a new one. Oh well, no use complaining, at least it keeps him out of trouble.
