Squeeze Page Information – How to Make It Work

Squeeze Page Information – The key question that I am asked over and over again is “How do I make it work?” and “What should be on my squeeze page?”

Well back to basics first – Your squeeze page exists to serve one purpose and one purpose only; to add people to your list that will provide you with names and the essentail email details of “potential buyers” of your product AND products that you offer in the future. This will be your portal to success!  Commonly, a squeeze page will require a visitor to key in his or her name and email address. This type of web page helps you build your list of opt-in subscribers and, ultimately, move up the number of your paying customers. Having an effective squeeze page can deliver anywhere from 25% to 60% conversion rate for your website. So, it is often considered as one of the most important tools in online marketing.

Essentially your squeeze page will contain these three BASIC elements:

1.      The Headline.

This is where you will catch the readers attention and encourage them to read further.  The best headlines inform the reader that reading further can solve one of their problems, help them avoid pain or bring them pleasure.

2.      Content – A Brief List of Benefits

Make a list of the most important or most exciting benefits a user of your product or service may experience. Take the features of your product or service and turn them into a benefit, for example, if you sell a product that automatically closes doors, rather than saying ‘Automatic closing mechanism’ you would say ‘No more cold drafts with the self-closing mechanism’.  Now the reader can visualize, no more cold drafts.  When writing your benefits think of the experience your users will have using your product or service. And probably the most important thing of all, that is sadly lacking from 100’s of squeeze pages that I have seen – the Offer of something for FREE!!

Once you have captured your potential sale client by a fantastic “grabbing headline” the lure of something for NOTHING will help you secure the whole point of the squeeze page…YES, to build your list! This freebie could be a downloadable ebook, free software – something to make the customer say “yes – I will give you my name and email address in return for the FREE gift”.

3.      An Autoresponder Form.

This is simply an opt-in form to collect name and email so you can store them in an email database. Your autoresponder will take care of all of this for you.

That is all there is to it. Your squeeze page need not be complicated. Get it right, and you will collect essential buyer data for your campaigns and FREE gifts. Get it wrong – no list = NO SALES.

Now that you know the essential information, it’s time to get your website (squeeze page). And what will this achieve. Simple, this will help you to make money online.
