MY Search for the Perfect Capri Pants
I must say I am not someone who is easily impressed. And when I decided to buy a pair of Capri for me and wanted something that is not just for sporting activities but can offer more than that.
A perfect pair of Capri should be the versatile one that can be taken to my summer vacation and can be used for multipurpose. However I understand that a right pair for all these actions is not so easy to find, so I went for a search in the market and I started with two leading sports wear company, one was BodyPost’s newly released the Women’s Sports Spandex Pants and other one was Sport Capris from Adidas Studio. I was intended to select one of them to accompany me in my summer vacation to Hawaii and give it a place as part of my daily athletics kit!
I found Adidas pants with 3 color combinations of “pink/candy/black”, “fresh candy/phantom” and “black/macaw”. The major color on each pant is the black or phantom (which appears to be a different shade of black) with an attractive contrasting colored waistband. The pants feature the Adidas CLIMALITE system built into the fabric, designed to take wetness away from the body.
The Body Post Spandex pants are available in a much brighter coral color, as well as the darker anthracite and black versions. BodyPost pants also have the same state of the art climalite alternative, which is the BodyPost moisture transport system. Both claim to do the same job, which is to keep you dry and cool during the extreme exercises conditions. So far so good. Design wise the Adidas version is casual and sporty style with the brand logo attached just below the waistband.
BodyPost’s pants are a little more unusual with a sexy ‘cutout’ design on the backside and gathering detail at the bottom of each leg. Both pants come with a deep waistband so that it is suited to all types of figures. However the BodyPost versions have a unique drawstring waist option that will assist in adjusting to your own requirements.
The Adidas pants feature a new material known as ‘sueded polyester’, which has a lovely soft feel to it. But I felt that it may become uncomfortable to wear in hot climates or during intense working hours.
However the BodyPost Capri pants are made of spandex that I thought might give a little bit “clingy” appearance but it only contains a small part of spandex that doesn’t appear clingy at all. The Adidas Capri pants are available in 4 sizes and will cost $40, while the BodyPost ones are available in three size options and will cost only $29.50 which seems wallet-friendly.
All in all, based on my requirements of what I need from a pair of Capri pant, I think that the BodyPost product had the edge. The Adidas is a famous brand with excellent quality products and a good sporty appearance but I was looking for more than that. The eye-catching design of the BodyPost spandex pants will enable me to wear them on a variety of occasions whilst on vacation, and the high quality orts features will also make them an excellent choice in my sports kit when I bring it home.
