New Volkswagen Eos
The new Volkswagen Eos is truly a desirable car. Based from the looks alone, the Eos looks like a capable contender to those who are looking for a proper CC or coupe-cabriolet. The selling point of the Volkswagen Eos is the concept of providing a proper 4-passenger coupe that has the ability to fold the roof down for a true open-top experience. In this regard, Volkswagen has certainly struck the right chord as the Eos is considerably roomier in the back compared to other coupes in the market.
Performance is at par with the best in the market. The Eos has accurate steering and is further complemented with a fairly responsive suspension system. This gives the Eos sporty handling without sacrificing the quality of the ride. Although the Eos is not the sharpest car in the world in terms of handling and cornering capabilities, the car acquits itself quite well despite the presence of some wobble when pushing the car hard with the roof down.
The Ford Focus CC is cheaper than the Eos but the humble Volkswagen makes up for it in terms of overall build quality. The cabin has a proper upscale feel and the materials used for the interior and the switches on the dash boast of bulletproof quality. The seats are also well-sculpted and comfortable enough for long journeys while the backseats provide just the right amount of legroom for average-sized adults. Typical of most CC’s, boot space is adequate with the roof up but turns to nada when the roof is folded down.
The new Volkswagen Eos is best suited for the young individual who wants the capabilities of a coupe-cabriolet with the upscale interior of a luxury car. If you are one of those who wants to be unique then the Eos may just be the right car for you.
