Types of Lace Wigs
Lace Front lace wigs
Lace fronts are a great alternative to full lace wigs. Lace Fronts have lace in the front of the wig only. There is no lace in the middle and back of the wig. It is made like a regular wig in the back, with wefts and adjustable straps. The lace in the front extends ear to ear across the full hairline and extends 2 to 4 inches into the crown of the head. This type of cap construction gives you a natural hairline and the ability to comb the hair in different directions. These are cheaper than full lace units because only a portion of the wig is hand tied.
Full Lace Wigs
Completely handmade. Skilled wig makers ventilate the hair into the lace strand by strand. This allows for freestyle movement and parting of the entire unit. There is no limitations on a full lace wig. They are worn by top celebrities like Beyonce and Tyra Banks. Quality Remy hair is used. That means no tangling or matting of the hair. You hair will last for months. It is designed to look and act just like your natural hair would. Yes you can curl, roller set, crimp, wash, and flat iron this hair. These wigs are totally undetecable when applied properly. No one will know you are wearing a wig. There are many different cap options. Some have stretch in middle, some have no stretch, some have ear stretch, and the possibilities are endless. We will discuss different cap styles in another article.
