Howrah Bridge

It is universally well known and is an engineering genius bridge, made in the year 1940. . It is a bridge that extends the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India.  It is done in six years and constructed of almost 26 hundreds metric tons of steel by the Howrah industrial city and the Kolkata railway station and it has length of 450 m which is free from any pylon in the river. It was real named the New Howrah Bridge because it connects the city of Howrah to Kolkata.It is one of the busiest bridges all over the world. It is also the third largest bridge in the world. It was renamed Rabindra Setu, after Rabindranath Tagore a great poet and the first Indian Nobel laureate on 14 June 1965. This bridge is also reputed as ‘Rabindra Setu’ and provides almost one million vehicles and innumerable pedestrians in a day. After all it is still popularly called as the Howrah Bridge.

Indian Museum

This museum has established in the year 1874. One of the most affecting aspects to observe and appreciate about this museum is its eye catching structure. It is one of the oldest museums in this country and unveils some awesome archaeological collections. Other important seen about the museum is that the entrance has got the national symbol of India which is the Lion Capitol (three faces of Lion).

Belur Math

It is made by the famed Swami Vivekananda in the year 1899; the idol of Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. It is situated in the local area of Belur in Howrah district, this holy place is sought by several visitors each year. The shrine is well known for its wonderful architecture that amalgamates Hindu, Christian and Islamic theme as a symbol of unity of all religions. It is blessed with a best panorama and peaceful atmosphere Belur Math is a place of utmost sanctity.
