As a network marketer there are only two things that you will get paid for, they are selling products and sponsoring new distributors into your company.
This may go against the grain a bit, but it’s not just the company and products that this industry is about. New folks joining are probably joining because they are wanting to work directly with you and the company may be of little importance in their minds. So you need to know how to market yourself as an authority in the industry.
Following are some lessons that I learned from personal experience that will help you sponsor more people into your business,
Best not to wait on your downline –
One to take notice of. When I first got started in this industry I was keen(as we all are_) for my team to do well, but that should not mean being at their every beck and call. I have found that myself, frequently I was becoming bogged down with quite frankly unimportant questions in my early days. Yes I want to be there for my team and help them, but equally I needed to free up my time to continue to grow my business. I soon learnt from leaders in the industry to do trainings and Q & An in a group setting, personally I prefer to do webinars. This is 1000% more time effective for me plus the feedback from team members tells me that it works wonders! It is very important that you adopt this strategy into your mlm business also. Do the bulk of your training and Q & A’s in a group setting.
Delegate tasks to other people
Sometimes it can be hard to let go and delegate. I still experience this problem myself, I often like to do as much as I can myself, I have high standards of competency and sometimes struggle to let go. But on the other hand I don’t want to be spending time doing the ‘dirty work’ which someone else could do. The reality is that there are outsource workers from around the world who are crying out for a chance to work for three dollars an hour! In my opinion its best to start using outsourcers as soon as its viable, even from day one of your business if it’s possible You will have the immediate benefit of time freedom to concentrate on other important aspects of your business which only you can do, and that is connecting with folks.
Be willing to learn –
Whatever area of life, anyone who has been very successful will have been coached by someone better than them. We are all continually learning and you can never have too much education in my opinion. To be a top producer you need to be taught by a top producer, it really is that simple!
Generate your own leads –
Something that every MLM marketer needs is leads, and lots of them! This is also one of the biggest problems that people face, a lack of leads. You have probably been taught to make up a list of 100 people in your ‘warm’ market, or maybe to go out and ‘prospect’ to people that you have never even met before. These methods can and do work, but let’s face it, there must be a better way surely. Would’nt it be much better if people came to you rather than the other way around? You should learn the principles of ‘Attraction Marketing’ and more importantly use a system that will generate leads for you on auto-pilot AND sponsor them into your business.
