It is important for you to tweak those images quite a bit and make sure that they are at the optimum quality for brochure printing. That is why I am here now to teach you five tips to create better brochure images. If you want your brochure printing and its images to really look great and impressive, I recommend that you follow the tips below.

1. Enhance the brightness and contrast – One of the simplest and easiest things to do to enhance your brochure images is to tweak its brightness and contrast values. This can usually done by using an image editing application such as Adobe Photoshop. Using its brightness and contrast controls, you can start adjusting the brightness and contrast values.

Brightness of course determines the level of light intensity, while contrast determines the intensity of the differences between light and dark color values. Use these controls wisely. Tweak them only a bit to get a bright and great looking brochure image

2. Apply color and noise correction filters – While you are already at the brightness and contrast controls, you might also want to apply color and noise correction filters while you are at it. Many image processing applications like Adobe Photoshop do have great automatic correction filters that help enhance images even further. Just look for the Auto Color Correction and Noise clean up features in these applications to improve the general quality of your image even further.

3. Make sure only high resolution images are used – Now, in brochure printing, it is important that you only use high resolution images for your layout. This is not only for the image’s quality on the screen, but also for printing. Some images might look ok on the computer screen, but once it is printed into a color brochure, it may look fuzzy. This is caused by printing low resolution images for brochures. Remedy this by being strict with your image use, and only accepting high resolution images on your layout. So make sure you always do this check when creating a design for brochure printing.

4. Apply borders and other “framing” effects – Now, to effectively embed your color images in your custom brochures, the best way to insert them while enhancing their looks is to apply borders and other framing effects. Borders of course help frame an image for emphasis and review. Other framing effects though can also be as effect. Using shadows for example is a great way to make an image pop out of the color brochure. Other effects such as rounded color strokes and “glowing” effects can also be quite effective to enhance the impact of your brochure images. Just be sure to use these effects in a tasteful manner. Keep it within the theme of your brochure printing.

5. Use a contrasting background – Finally, it is important that your images find a contrasting background in your color brochures. Images must be dominantly opposite from the brochure background so that they do not get lost in the layout. So if you have colourful pictures, then a simple one color background like white or black is best for contrasting purposes. If you have really dark images, it is best to use a lighter shade of color or white and of course if you have bright images, it might be beneficial to use a darker toned background as well.

This should really be a help for your images, making them more distinctive and effective within your color brochures. So remember to apply the concept of contrast when you can.

So those are the things you can do to enhance your brochure images. You might want to do this on your next bout of brochure printing.
