Measuring Bra Size
Most women disregard the importance of finding out their actual bra size and end up with poorly suited undergarments. A bra which is too tight or loose can cause irritation and in some cases serious circulation problems and other issues. You have to know that a bra is meant to be comfortable and fit you well. Another aspect of a badly fitted bra is that it affects your appearance and posture, causing you to feel annoyed and distressed for the entire day. Let’s have a look at some quick guides to measure your bra size.
Firstly measure your band size. The band size can be determined by measuring the perimeter of your chest. It has to be done as accurately as possible because it will affect the way the bra holds up. The best way to do it is to have a flexible tape tightly wrapped around your chest. It is preferred to do while wearing your bra and measure right below it. Your band size is then known using a conversion table (or simply by asking a sales girl).
Next is to measure the cup size. It is in fact much easier to determine than you possibly thought. All you need to do is to measure the highest point, circumference of your chest. The cup size is then found out by subtracting that number from your band size and using a conversion table. Taking an example, if the difference is 1 inch, your cup size is A and if it’s 2 inches, your cup is size B and so on and so forth.
Obviously, no matter how accurate your measuring can be, it doesn’t mean that you can just take any bra that matches your size. If you are unaware, true band and cup sizes can vary quite significantly depending on the models and brands you choose. What you need is to find one that can fit you nicely. If you did it properly, the sizes you measured should get you rather close. And it is only necessary that you can find your actual size. Ultimately, a fitting bra should look right, and overall feel right.
Getting your bra size is a relatively easy task. For a process that takes you less than five minutes to complete to upkeep your appearance for a long time, don’t you think you want to do it at least once a while? Time to choose a comfortable bra!
