The performance analysis of yoga pants from BodyPost and Under Armour
BodyPost have newly added these latest yoga pants to their “Athletic Generator” range, and I wanted to see if their result actually matched the hype. The Under Armour Leggings also possess some great reviews. In my search for a warm, comfortable and fashionable pair of legging style yoga bottoms, I have judged the two leading brands on the market Under Armour and BodyPost.
The BodyPost bottoms are available in two options – Black with a bright lemon stitching around the pockets and on the back, or black with lilac contrast. The pants feature a flattering flared leg feature that accentuate in the body without a tight looking. Similarly UA leggings are of two colors with Black-Pacific Blue and Pacific Blue with Lilac combination. They have a very tight look, which I think highlight every imperfection, and be flattering only on the slim figures. If you prioritize design, BodyPost bottoms should be first choice. These pants have been designed to fit in any type of figure.
The Under Armour pant’s pacific blue color looks a little over contrast where the color option of BodyPost bottoms are classier.
Moisture Transport System and cool and dry technology are common features of both the pants that keep you warm in cold and cool during running sessions.
Both bottoms also include anti-bacterial fabrics technology. The key different is that the Under Armour leggings are designed only for athletic wear while you can use your BodyPost yoga pants also as a casual wear.
The UA yoga pants would be great as an additional layer worn under other pants during extreme cold weather due to their tight fit. It will also give you good result when you are working in extreme cold. Besides the “Athletic Generator” is a versatile one that satisfies your all extreme hard activities as well as when you are on a holiday. The materials used for both pants are of excellent quality. Both bottoms are machine cleanable and fast drying. These features make those pants daily usable.
Verdict: Tough decision on this point
Purchases value: The cost of the UA base legging is 69.99$ each, on the other hand you can have the BodyPost Athletic Generators with just $38.50 including free delivery.
Decision: The BodyPost pants unquestionably nail it here!
Final decision: According to all the above points, the clear winner for me is the BodyPost Hybreeze Athletic Generators.
The UA bottoms were solid contenders on some points, for example, if I needed some bottoms to wear under other ones for extremely cold conditions I would possibly choose these. But the tight fitting appearance, high price tag and odd looking pacific blue color of Under Armour leggings insist me choose the other one. The BodyPost version is by far the most versatile and stylish choice.
