8 simple ways to Prevent Back Acne
I think there are many of us having trouble with back acne, or in short, bacne. This happens very frequently to teenagers or adult who are going through a period of time with hormone change where the function of sebaceous gland are hyperactive. When the sebaceous gland is hyperactive, more sebum or oil is produced. When the sebum mixes with the dead skin cell, it will clog the follicles. Bacteria will grow in it and causes inflammation. There are several simple ways to prevent it. Here by we list about 8 of them.
- Apply powder at the back to absorb the sweat and keep the skin dry. Try wearing the shirt with cooling material and this will decrease the rate of perspiration.
- After exercise, it would be better to take a shower with warm water. When we are exercise, the pores are open. If we shower will cold water, the pores will be closed without giving off all the sweat and caused clogging. Warm water also helps to ease a little with the muscle pain. If you are unable to do that, maybe wipe off the sweat and change to a dry shirt.
- A good habit after shower is patting dry your skin. Try not to rub with tower as the rubbing might cause more inflammations on the back acne.
- Use the soap for sensitive skin, antibacterial if possible. There are a few products in the market that are applicable to face and body. Do not use any soap or body shampoo that are too strong for your sensitive skin
- Back pack will not be a good idea as it will heat up your skin at the back and start to sweat. Normally when you are carrying a back pack, the sweating will only dry out after sometimes you put it down.
- Do apply some acne cream on the back acne. The cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide will have better result since the concentration is higher. Since benzoyl peroxide is quite safe to use, it wouldn’t need a prescription from dermatologist.
- There are some common natural remedies for acne that can be applied here. For example, tea tree oil is a good natural antiseptic for face or body acne. Do be carefully when applying it as it will give a little sting when applied to sensitive area.
- Use scrub at least once every week to exfoliate the dead skin. This can effectively prevent anymore inflammation. But do not scrub at the active acne area. This will further irritate the inflammation and slow down the healing process.
