Memory Foam King Size Mattress versus a Sprung Mattress

Are you looking for a new mattress and wondering which one is the best to choose from everything that is on offer? If the answer to this is yes you are not alone. Buying a new mattress can be a real headache for many people as there are so many different styles to choose from. Maybe you are trying to decide between a memory foam king size mattress and a traditional sprung mattress. If so here are a few facts on a memory foam king-size mattress versus a sprung mattress.

Memory foam mattresses will provide health benefits to anyone who uses them as they support the body correctly during the night. Mattresses like this will not sag or bend and will not create painful pressure points on a person’s body. Sprung mattresses on the other hand are one of the main culprits of aches and pains for many people. When a person lies on a sprung mattress springs are fighting to return to their original shape which can cause lumps and bumps on the mattress. This in turn can then create pressure points on a person which can be very uncomfortable.

Memory foam mattresses work to regulate a person’s temperature throughout the course of the night. This means that on warm nights heat will be drawn away from the body and will cool down the person using the mattress whereas on cold nights it will help to keep a person warm. Sprung mattresses do not have this kind of technology within their materials, which means that if a person becomes warm they will tend to overheat and if they become cold it will be some time before they can warm up again. People who find that heat is one of the issues that prevents them from getting good night’s sleep can solve that problem by using a memory foam king size mattress.

A memory foam king size mattress will reduce tossing and turning that leads to a broken night’s sleep. Once again this is because such a mattress will mould to the individual shapes of a person’s body, thus promoting a sound night’s sleep without any unnecessary movement. Sprung mattresses do not have memory foam technology and can actually increase a person’s likelihood of tossing and turning during the night. This is because springs can be incredibly uncomfortable and will bounce back up when a person turns on them and this can lead to a person tossing and turning even more.

Finally, the price difference between a memory foam king size mattress and a sprung mattress is virtually non-existent. In fact, with so many great prices for memory foam mattresses available there will be a mattress to suit every single budget. Many years ago sprung mattresses were cheaper than memory foam but today things have changed and memory foam mattresses are both affordable and popular. Hopefully after reading this anyone who was trying to decide between a memory foam king-size mattress and a sprung mattress will know which one to choose. Remember that comfort and quality are the two things that really matter when choosing a mattress, so bear these aspects in mind.
