The business suit for women
In recent years, thanks to the efforts of fashion designers, a more elegant version of the classic business suit for women was created. Suits of shapeless tweed and faded colours are already in the past. The modern women’s business suits are very stylish and elegant. Their design emphasizes on the female spirit and femininity.
The black and white colors, which has traditionally used by Giorgio Armani and Nina Ricci, are not anymore a unique norm. Almost all shades of business and evening clothes are acceptable, even shades of the brightest colors. The only requirement is harmony: the strong bright colors do not meet the image of serious businesswomen. But the harmonious combination of dark tones and vivid accents as accessories is nowadays very welcome.
The classic rule for creation of contemporary elegance of the business suit for women is successfully used by many fashion brands: a strict color palette has to be used. The last does not mean to use only monochrome shades of black or grey. Designer Brian Reyes, combines grey and black tones of the costumes with pants, with bright shades of satin blouses. The colours of the blouses vary from bright blue to bright pink color. In general, the great part of the designers – from Armani to Roberto Cavalli, MaxMara and Sonia Rykiel – continue to choose classic, neutral shades and tight: black, gray, light beige, chocolate, and blue. The designer Todd Lynn created a series of gorgeous costumes of white satin, introducing an unexpected color for autumn business suit.
Other designers like Issey Miyake and Erin Fezerston have experimented with much more vivid colours. Fezerston showed suits with metallic shade of the color, especially intense wine color with metallic luster. Issey Miyake have created red metallic women’s suits as well. They are made of soft fabrics with pastel shades that easily follow the natural curves of the female body. The texture of the fabrics is not simple at all, but it has very elegant look, without overcoming the good taste: twill, shaded sateen and fantasy patterns are used for the suits. Ralph Lauren’s collection is almost perfect example of the balance of strict business suits with comfort provided by soft tissues and fashion style.
The elegance of the female business suits can be easily underlined by choosing the appropriate accessories. Even the traditional black or dark grey melange suit will obtain more feminine look with thin and almost weightless scarf or carefully selected broche on the lapel. Thin, almost invisible necklace and earrings close to the ear will also help to show your femininity and style.
