People at present are very much into social networking sites, such as face book, you tube and twitter. We do our instant people search in these sites and friends, at present, can even locate where we are through it as well. It has become a source of informing people of what’s up with our lives and at the same a source for background checking.
These sites can be loads of fun especially in expressing oneself. However at present such sites are also a form of background check pages for your future employer. They use this just like they search criminal records (although they are just doing a background check).
To ensure that you do give a good impression without getting fun out of the way, here are tips on how to make sure you fb or twitter pages are good to look at.
1. it’s cool to post pictures, however immediately get rid of images that are quite sensitive. Just stick to the “wholesome” ones.
2. Always think twice before posting messages. Make sure to avoid words that are vulgar. You can still mean fun without them. Share a few laughs but don’t go below the belt.
3. The shootouts define not just your mood but also how you perceive things. There are people search people who express themselves through this. Make sure that you show a mature person rather than someone who always argues with someone or show’s a sad persona. Be someone who shows a positive behavior and insight on things.
4. Don’t end up doing tips one to three too much. We want to keep it natural. It not a resume on line yet let’s admit that it’s a good source for background check. Keep it as simple as possible, even the information there.
