Skoda Laura RS breaks cover
The Indian car market is flooding heavily with the new car launches this month. Around 5 new cars have been launched and one has been unveiled by the major car manufactures. In this pipeline the Volkswagen, Maruti, Tata and Force Motors has already launched their cars. Now Czech automaker, Skoda India has launched its new car christened Skoda Laura RS. Its worth to mention that Skoda India has recreated history by launching this new upgraded version of its premium sedan Skoda Laura RS (Rally Sport). With this new Skoda Laura RS, company is looking to get hold on the presence of Skoda India in the country and it is expected that the sales of the company will be improved and get the tempo in the time of slowdown also. Talking about its price, the New Skoda Laura RS price in India is Rs 15.19 lakh (ex showroom Mumbai).
As far as the new Skoda Laura RS specifications are concerned the new sedan is powered with a 1.8 TSI, 1798cc petrol engine which is capable of generating the maximum power of 160 PS and the peak torque of 250 Nm. This 160PS petrol turbo engine is the same engine used in Audi which is dress up with a 6 speed gearbox. The new Skoda Laura RS has an excellent ground clearance of 164 Mm which suits the Indian roads. As compared to the existing model the new Skoda Laura RS is loaded with enhanced and upgraded features like ABS, EBD along with ESP technology, Two airbags, Rear spoiler and side skirts. Since the new Skoda Laura RS is available in petrol variant Maruti Kizashi and Honda Accord are the major rivals of this new sedan. As per the recent reports Skoda India will launch an entirely new Skoda Laura by the next year.
