Honda Brio all geared up to launch on 27 September
The most awaited hatchback by Honda named Honda Brio which created a lot of buzz in the Indian car market is now all set to get launched on the 27th of September. The main reason behind the launch of this hatchback so early might be due the festive season in the country, due this season the sales of the company are at peak and to maintain these sales the company has decided to launch this car in early in the market.
The Japanese car maker Honda has not yet revealed any information regarding the Honda Brio Price. But it’s for sure that this car would be tag in the affordable price range. The company will also have to think that the car will be launched in the petrol variant only, so due the recent petrol hikes in the country, Honda Brio should have low price so that it could attract the buyers.
Honda Brio Specifications revealed that the car will come equipped with 1.2 Liter i-VTEC petrol engine, which is the same one that the company’s Honda Jazz powers. Though the engine is same but there is minor drop in the power of the engine. This new engine will be able to generate a maximum power of 88 bhp @ 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 109 Nm of torque @ 4,600 rpm.
This new hatchback is made lighter than the Honda Jazz so with the same engine in it, the car would be able to deliver a better mileage. The car is approximately 100 kgs lesser than the Honda Jazz, so it would be capable of generating a mileage of 18.4 kmpl. The dimensions of the car are 3,610 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width and 1,485 mm in height.
The interiors of the car are very spacious as it is a bit longer than Hyundai i10 and Chevrolet Beat and quite bigger than Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20 and ford Figo. The car will also be equipped with the safety features like airbags, ABS with EDS technology. The new version of the Honda Brio will be available in three different variants named as Honda Brio E, Honda Brio S and Honda Brio V.
The company at present has Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Jazz, Honda New Accord and Honda CR-V under its portfolio in the Indian car market.
