Sprinklers can be engaged and sprinkling should be done early in the morning as the sun comes up. Day long sun is what the tomato plant requires for hearty growth and perfect harvest. For vertical growth, always ensure to plant the crops in cages or stakes.

The produce shall be hand picked when the color changes to red. It can ripened beyond by placing on any sunny windowsill so as to avoid them from being eaten by any bird or rotting on the vine.
