Mahindra XUV500 all set to launch on 28th September
India’s home grown legendary car manufacturing company Mahindra and Mahindra has tightened its seat belts to launch its world SUV named as Mahindra XUV500 on 28th September 2011. The Mahindra XUV500 Priceis supposed to be determined between Rs 12 lakhs to Rs 20 lakhs. It is expected that XUV500 will give tough competition to its strongest contenders mainly Toyota Fortuner, Honda CRV,Skoda Yeti and Tata Aria. In the words of Mr. Vivek Nayar, Senior Vice President, Automotive Marketing Division, Mahindra and Mahindra, company had designed specific unit for assembling the raw material required for the production of world SUV, Mahindra XUV500.
The major Mahindra XUV500 specifications include 2.2 litre m hawk engine designed exclusively for XUV500. The unmatched gearbox available in both five speed and six speed gear boxes, this gearbox unit is designed on the platform of Ricardo. The engine generates the power of 140 bhp and the torque of 32.6 kgm, however company is speculating to increase the power of engine upto 170 bhp. The other Mahindra XUV500 specifications include traction control, ESP and hill descent control. Apart from this Mahindra XUV500 is customised with cosmetics like pulled back headlamps and curved grille with logo of Mahindra and Mahindra. Company anticipates to launch world SUV Mahindra XUV500 in other countries also besides South Africa.
There are rumours that XUV500 is the most beautiful SUV designed by Mahindra and Mahindra till date. The other SUV designed by Mahindra and Mahindra are Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo and Mahindra Thar. It is also expected that the new Mahindra XUV500 will be offered in both two wheel and four wheel drive options in India and South Africa.With launch of Mahindra XUV500, Mahindra and Mahindra hopes to repeat the same history of success as it created in 2009 when it has launched Mahindra Xylo in the car market.
