Mahindra to launch XUV500 soon in India
The Indian auto group Mahindra and Mahindra has finally unveiled its all new SUV Mahindra XUV 500 under the code name W201. The new SUV will be pronounced as “XUV5 double 0hh” .It seems Mahindra has chosen this modish name to give world SUV a global approach. It is speculated that initially the car will be offered in India and South Africa before it’s admittance in other markets globally. Adding to it XUV 500 will be designed and developed completely in-house by Mahindra Chennai plant. Mahindra XUV 500 price is yet not revealed ,but it is expected to fall around 13 lakh for the lowest model of the SUV and then will further increase for high end models. The car will probably come by the end of the last quarter of this year.
It is said that the company is planning to put this Mahindra XUV 500 SUV between Scorpio and high end SUVs with the goal to make this SUV a next generation SUV aimed at generation x. the Mahindra XUV 500 review suggests that With sophisticated style and best in best global manufacturing quality the XUV 500 SUV will be the first in series of next generation SUVs and will definitely take Mahindra and Mahindra on high scale of growth in global automotive arena. This car is also the first monocoque vehicle in India coming with a transverse engine in it. The global technology, manufacturing norms ad quality are the strong points which make this XUV 500 altogether an unique and different car.
If believe on speculations,this car will be the best looking among all the cars offered by the company. The interior and exteriors of car are truly very well designed. it has pulled back head lamps and the usual curved Mahindra grill in front.The car is housed with with 2.2 L mHawk engine which can generate 140 bhp power and a torque of 32.6 kgm. it is said that this engine is specifically designed for XUV 500 and company is working to increase the generated power up to 170 bhp. Additionally the car will come with cable operated gear box with two manual transmission options like 5-speed and 6-speed gearbox. Besides this the SUV XUV 500 will come with many safety features like airbags, ABS, traction control, ESP and hill decent control. The car is expected to come in both two- wheel and four-wheel drive options in both India and South Africa market.
