Sunstate Academy is more than just another beauty school. At Sunstate Academy, you can train to become a licensed cosmetologist, nail technician, barber or massage therapist. Our experienced instructors receive RedKen professional training and provide students with the knowledge, skills and techniques they need to help them launch a career in the health, wellness and beauty industry.

In addition to technical skills, students are taught fundamental business skills such as up-selling, customer loyalty practices, and they gain valuable product knowledge. At Sunstate Academy, students are able to gain hands-on experience as they train on the salon floor, working with real clients.

Cosmetology
Do you enjoy making people look and feel great? The cosmetology program will prepare you for an exciting career as a licensed cosmetologist, hair stylist, nail tech or make-up artist. You will be trained by experienced instructors using name-brand products. The cosmetology program is offered at the Clearwater and Fort Myers campuses.
Nail Technician
Have you ever considered becoming a licensed nail tech? If so, Sunstate Academy is the nail school for you! We provide students with a hands-on learning environment that prepares them for Nail Specialist registration upon graduating. This nail tech program is offered at the Clearwater and Fort Myers campuses.
Barber – Styling Cosmetology Combo (Ft Myers Campus Only)
If you are interested in barber school then Sunstate Academy is the place to get your training. In addition to the cosmetology curriculum, you will gain insight and knowledge about shaping, styling and cutting men’s hair. Upon graduating from the program, students will be prepared to take the Florida state exam and become a licensed barber, hair stylist or cosmetologist. This program is only offered at the Fort Myers campus.
Massage Therapy (Clearwater Campus Only)
Are you thinking about going to massage school? Sunstate Academy offers a massage class at the Clearwater campus. Learn the basics of this ancient healing art. This 600 clock hour program will prepare you to take the Florida state exam and become a licensed massage therapist. This massage program is only offered at the Clearwater campus.
Full Specialty (Clearwater Campus Only)
The Full Specialty program at Sunstate Academy was developed to accommodate students interested in providing multiple services to their clients. Students enrolled in this program are taught skin care techniques and nail technologies. This program is only offered at the Clearwater campus.
Spa Therapies (Clearwater Campus Only)
The Spa Therapies program combines skin care and massage therapy curriculum to provide students with an array of knowledge in the health, wellness & beauty industry. Students enrolled in the Spa Therapies program are taught the proper procedures behind the use of skin care techniques. This program is only offered at the Clearwater campus.
