The Importance of Diwali Rituals & Pujas

Diwali is the most popular festival of Hindus which is celebrated in all over India or across the world. Diwali or Deepawali is celebrated in Kartik month according to Hindu calendar on the Amavasya means no moon night. Diwali is also well known as name of deepawali and celebrated with Diyas or calndels. People clean and decorate their homes with like chalk and cheese coloured lighting, lamps and Diwali candles. The light shows the conquest of truth over the blackness of no moon night. Generally first day begin with Dhanteras, a day set aside to worship lakshmi. On the second day is Narak chaturdasi in this day kali-the goddess of strength is worshiped.

The third day is celebrated as Diwali, which is the day of the year in the lunar calendar. In this day we used to lit lamps, gift are exchanged, crackers are burst. The fourth day of the depavali falls on the first day of the lunar New Year. At this time the old accounts are closed and new books are opened and fifth or final day of the festivel is Govardhan puja and bhaiyaduz respectively. On every day celebration, people celebrate with crackers and sweets. Everyone celebrate diwali festival with all the rites and rituals.
