Bill Hionas Sees Positive Short-Term Signs for Platinum and Palladium and a Positive Long-Term Outlook

(1888PressRelease) Fluctuations in the market are temporary; outlook for precious metals is generally positive.

MIAMI, FL – There are currently many macroeconomic factors impacting the precious metals bullion market and some investors may be delaying any particular move pending some resolution of the debt crisis in Europe.

The temporary easing of the euro zone crisis has worked in favor of platinum and palladium as fears about the strength of the automotive industry in Europe abate, at least for now. Any suggestion, following the meeting of financial leaders in Poland, that the situation is still dire and the risk of Greece defaulting continues, would definitely benefit gold and silver as investors would, once again, be searching for a safe haven.

Additionally, we anticipate that the coming week will be a quieter trading week than normal, as many traders will be attending the London Bullion Market Association conference in Montreal.

Investors should be aware that all these concerns, and the concurrent fluctuations in price for precious metals, are temporary; the long-term picture remains positive for precious metals in general, and particularly for gold. October is normally a slow month for the yellow metal but the market this year is likely not to experience this traditional slow-down. There are few safe havens available to investors at present and precious metals bullion has been proven to maintain its value in times of economic uncertainty.
