India’s own automobile maker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is going to add a new car to its already popular fleet of Sports Utility Vehicles in India. The Mahindra XUV 500 has got its name of late and was earlier codenamed as the Mahindra W201. The two ‘o’ after the name connotes the activeness or an energetic personality and signifies the agility and quickness of the SUV. The CRDi engine is competent of producing 120 Bhp of maximum power and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. The XUV 500 will be a 6-speed manual transmission car but it is expected that it will also be available in 6-speed automatic transmission option as well in order to compete with the premium SUVs.
The engine produces 120 Bhp of maximum power adequate enough to power the strong machine. The engine is proficient of producing 290 Nm of maximum torque. In order to transform the power delivered by the engine to the wheels, the XUV 500 is expected to have a 6-speed manual transmission.
